Big Country 4×4 started it all back in 2008. This awning provides a massive 120 square feet of shade in only 30 seconds. Tried and tested in the harsh conditions of the African Savannah, you’ll stay cool in the heat of the day and dry when the storm clouds roll in.
The Ostrich Wing Awning is made from durable, 12.2oz (380gsm) rip-block canvas, with UV protection and rot proofing. It’s also acrylic impregnated to promote maximum reflection from the sun, and all seams are taped to increase the waterproofness.
The awning includes a 2-color LED strip light for mounting inside the arms to light up the area underneath at night.
The frame of the Ostrich Wing is incredibly sturdy, built with thick aluminum extrusions welded in a gusseted truss design. The hinges incorporate nylon bushes for smooth movement of the extrusions when opening and closing.
Unlike some other 270 awnings that shall remain nameless, this awning will not break in a breeze and is backed by a 2 year warranty.
During mild wind conditions, you can enjoy the Ostrich Wing Awning in it’s free-standing configuration. If the wind picks up and becomes gusty, simply utilize the included telescopic support leg and guy ropes.
This is one of the toughest awnings on the planet, but in adverse conditions it is advised to pack the awning away. At no point should the awning be left unattended open without anchoring.

Mounting Kits
Unless you plan on fabricating your own mounting brackets, you will need to purchase one of the kits linked below.
This is a significant awning and it requires a robust roof rack, load bar setup or truck canopy mounting point for safe installation.
We offer mounting kits for most roof racks and campers below. For custom racks and campers some modification or fabrication of mounting kits may be required. Please reach out if you are unsure about which kit you need.

Returns
Stock is dynamic. It's not entirely managed by us, since we have multiple parties such as the factory and our storage. The stock levels may fluctuate at any time. It is possible that you will not receive your purchase after it has been placed.
Our policy is valid for a period of 30 days. If it's been more 30 days since you've bought the item and we're unable to offer you a complete exchange or refund.
In order to be eligible for a refund your item must be unused and in the same state as you received it. It should also be returned in its original packaging.
